Maserati has almost tripled its sales halfway through 2013
Maserati is probably one of the first to come to mind when Italian luxury vehicles are talked about.
Last year, Fiat lost 700 million euros because of the shrinking market. But 2013 is a great year for Fiat and the Maserati as the order for their luxury cars have now almost tripled.
According to europe.autonews.com:
Fiat Group’s Maserati brand received about 17,000 orders worldwide in the year to end-July, nearly triple the amount sold last year as new models started to attract buyers.
Maserati’s chief executive Harald Wester shared that the biggest seller is the Quattroporte sedan ($147,300). Wester further states that the US is still their largest market but China has taken the lead in upping sales especially for Quattroporte which went on sale last January.
The entry-level sedan model Ghibli was also helpful in boosting the sales by receiving 2,249 orders as of Jun . The official figures from June 17 states that Maserati has amassed 14,159 orders from all over the world. A little more than half (7,922 orders) of which are for the Quattroporte.
Maserati has almost tripled in sales since last June. What do you think of their best seller vehicles the Ghibli and Quattroporte?
