Aston Martin is Making Waves
For years, Aston Martin has been delivering sleek, streamline efficiency in a luxury package, notably in the form of open road and racing cars. They’re taking their luxury vehicle knowledge off the track and in to the water with the AM37 powerboat.
At the moment, details are few and far between, as Aston Martin is keeping the project hush-hush. Only potential buyers of the AM37 will have an in depth walk-through via a one-to-one chat with an official Aston Martin representative.
The AM37, designed by Quintessence Yachts, as well as Aston Martin, is a 37ft long luxury powerboat. They’ve brought on Amsterdam’s Mulder Design, a premier naval architect company, to produce a one-of-a-kind, pure luxury boat. Aston Martin aims to make a boat with the feel of one of their luxury sports cars. CEO of Quintessence Yachts, Mariella Mengozzi said,
“We are sure that the Aston Martin ethos of ‘Power, Beauty, and Soul’ can be successfully translated into the yachting environment in a very special way.”
The lavish AM37 will feature state-of-the-art extras and high-tech amenities the boating world has yet to see. The boat itself will be manufactured with a unique composite structure, designed by Aston and Quintessence. On board, passengers will enjoy the interactive voice control system and the cutting edge multimedia system. The captain of each vessel will find the high-definition touchscreen navigation system very handy.
Aston Martin, while making waves, will be competing against the Rolls-Royce superboat, the Aeroboat. Released last year, the beastly boat contains an 1,100 horsepower engine from a WWII fighter, the Suermarine Spitfire. Costing about $55 million, the Aeroboat is a worthy rival in the waters of luxury.
Prices have yet to be announced for the AM37. For more details, schedule an appointment with your local Aston Martin, or check out the Aston Martin website.
