The IMAX experience has wowed people from around the world. And some are so amazed by it that there is a desire to want that same experience in a home theater system. Well, the ultra-rich can have the same exclusive facility for a measly $250,000.

China’s newly minted rich can now get up close and personal to the movies after mega-screen maker IMAX Corp signed a deal to produce luxury home theaters in the company’s second largest market.

A joint venture by TLC Multimedia Technology Holdings Ltd will allow the luxury market in China to avail of the IMAX private home theater system, primarily because China is their second largest market in the world with 131 IMAX screens installed in the populous country.

Aside from the IMAX projection systems, the $250,000 price tag for the IMAX Private Theater also comes with the state of the art IMAX sound, patented theater design and 24/7/365 monitoring and support.
