Could it be possible that the most expensive costume this year is from Breaking Bad?

The show may have ended but it is going to take a while before everyone gets over Breaking Bad. In fact, Breaking Bad is one of the hottest and most talked about costume ideas this coming Halloween. From learning how to make “crystal meth”-looking candies to finding just the right kinds of props, fans seriously can’t get enough.

Move over cheap Halloween costumes, here comes the most authentic and most expensive Breaking Bad Halloween costume and props ever. And we’re not talking about the yellow hazmat suits.

According to usmagazine.com:

Best — and most expensive — Halloween costume ever? A big Breaking Bad fan paid a pretty penny for a used pair of Walter White’s underwear.

According to Variety, the wardrobe item for the fictional character, worn by actor Bryan Cranston, was sold for $9,900 as part of ScreenBid’s auction of used items from the AMC series, which ended on Sept. 29. Cranston sported the pair of tighty-whities in the pilot for the series.

The underwear is currently on display at the Breaking Bad exhibit at the Museum of Moving Image in Queens, N.Y but it is not the item that got the highest bid of the Breaking Bad lot. The highest paid item was an inscribed copy of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass (sold for $65,500).

Other items that fetched high numbers were Hector “Tio” Salamanca’s bell and two versions of the pink teddy bear.
