We’ve seen the high-end SUVs that Land Rover, Porsche and Mercedes with all the upscale amenities. But at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Bentley was eager to announce that the first real luxury SUV will be their offering for 2016.

According to forbes.com:

“If you look at the different SUVs on the market today, you don’t see a luxury SUV, you see high options,” Bentley chief Wolfgand Schreiber said today at the Detroit Auto Show. “Premium SUVs like Porsche or maybe Range Rover are there but a real luxury SUV you can’t buy.”

Such a bold statement from the Bentley chief was backed by significant growth in sales from last year and an even bigger news was given upon the revelation of the 2016 Bentley SUV, which is currently under the concept stage.

The Bentley SUV is due to be out in early 2016 and it is said to combine the luxury experience with smooth and effortless car performance. Bentley keeps mum about further details on the SUV but the pictures paint quite the opulent experience it is set out to offer.

Aside from the 2016 Bentley SUV announcement, Continental V8 S, Flying Spur and the Mulsanne  were also revealed by the British luxury automakers during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
