Lamborghini-Aventador-Logo Luxury Cars

A Gold Lamborghini being showcased in Dubai

The world’s most expensive model car is here. The Lamborghini Aventador LP-700-4 was made at a scale of 1:8 and it is making its first appearance outside of Europe this month.

According to cnbc.com:

Carved out of a 500-kilogram block of solid gold, the finished model contains 25 kilograms of the precious metal. Starting price for the eventual auction is set at $7.5 million, of which $650,000 will go to charity, according to the manufacturer’s website.

Crafted by RGE Robert Gulpen Engineering in Germany, the model car is made up of gemstones and precious metals valued at $2.64. The model car also comes with 3 Guinness Book of World Records recognition: the most expensive model car, most luxurious logo, most secure showcase (made of bulletproof glass).

The prototype has been on display in Dubai since last Tuesday and the makers stated that models will be made to suit the customer preferences.

The luxury appeal and steep price tag are getting people talking. Is it worth buying if it is not meant for the road?

You be the judge.
