2015 Escalade Revealed!

Cadillac‘s bold motif is “Art & Science” which started with the original Cadillac CTS sedan in 2002. And in line with this theme, the 2015 Escalade reveals the combination of luxury with art and science.

According to chicagotribune.com:

This artful enhancement to the Escalade’s form is just one example of the evolution in Cadillac design aimed at elevating the status of the brand. The company’s bold “Art & Science” motif, which debuted on the original Cadillac CTS sedan in 2002, has thus far relied exclusively on using striking, angular forms to stand out from the competition-which it has done well.

Ed Welburn, the vice president of global desig for General Motors discussed the 2015 Escalade to still have hard edges and sophisticated surface like the Elmiraj and new CTS. Here are some of the details on the newest Escalade:

  • contemporary look with sophisticated bright chrome interior and exterior
  • vertical headlights unique to Cadillac
  • similar technology with other full-sized GM trucks
  • V8 engine called “Gen 5” (same as 2014 Chevrolet Corvette)
  • 420 horsepower
  • adjustable Magnetic Ride Control suspension system
  • redesigned cabin with doors flushed into the body side
  • improve aerodynamics and reduced wind noise
  • acoustic glass for windshield and front and side doors
  • wider rear door opening
  • enhanced versatility with the third row that folds into the floor
  • CUE system
