The summer is here, you can enjoy the fantastic pools at the Trump SoHo, Dream Downtown Hotel, Mandarin Oriental and more posh hotels & condos. At some places you’ll need to pay an entrance fee and at some you’ll need to book a hotel room or have a good friend who is a resident in the building. It’s always good to know such friends.

Here is a top list of luxury pools in New York:

The Beach at the Dream Downtown Hotel. This chic  rooftop features a big heated pool surrounded by imported white sand, private cabanas and a full-service bar.
Day passes begin at $175 to reserve a chair, running up to $2,500 for a cabana on the weekend.

The Pool Deck at the Empire Hotel. Have great views of Central Park. The pool is for hotel guests only, but some parties open to the public are planned for this summer.

Trump SoHo. The bar is open to the public, but the water are for hotel guests and condo owners only. So your chance is to book a room at this wonderful hotel.

Hotel Gansevoort. The heated rooftop pool offers underwater music and colored lights. It also offers stunning sunset views over Manhattan and plenty of celebrity spotting. We suggest to get an invite with a hotel guest.

James Hotel.  Good news: the weekend summer parties in the rooftop bar are open to the public.

Mandarin Oriental. The pool is part of the hotel’s five-star spa, it shows the great Manhattan skyline by night. Book your stay at this hotel to get an access to this posh pool.

Edge Open Air Pool. The luxury Williamsburg waterfront condominiums include a glass-enclosed pool with heated floor next to the second-floor terrace, as well as an adjacent shallow pool with waterfall. Residents can bring two guests per visit so start making friends in this area.

Spa Castle. This spa has several spa pools, from the Aqua Bar while jets massage pressure points throughout your body, to the Hinoki Bath steeped in hot mineral water. Here its easy to enter, just pay $35 during the week, $45 on weekends.
