The successful comedian talk-show host, Ellen DeGeneres, puts her luxury Beverly Hills penthouse on market for a price of $899,000. For many, it may seem a luxury penthouse apartment bound with elegant things but to Ellen it is just a spare guest house. It features a combined living/dining area and has views of the mountains.

The listing just a fortnight after she treated herself to a new $26million estate in Montecito, California. Comparatively the Beverly Hills home is little more than a guest house. A corner penthouse in the sought-after Somerset building, the home has views of mountains and trees from the many windows.

The penthouse also features an entry gallery with wood floors which leads to a combined living and dining area with fireplace. The kitchen area has a built-in laundry and an eating area which is rare for an LA apartment. Buyers will also need to pay an extra $1,186 a month which covers building fees such as doorman,valet parking,security,gym,pool,spa,sauna and club room.
