South Bank Tower, London, UK

South Bank Tower used to be a 30-storey building designed in 1972 by Sir Richard Seifert. Upon acquisition by CIT, the building was redesigned by Khn Pedersen Fox Associates and turned it into a 41-storey building with 191 luxury spaces. Tour Odéon, Monaco

Tour Odeon is foreseen to be the tallest building in Monaco at 550 feet once it is completed in the second quarter of this year. It towers over the area including the Mediterranean sea. Tour Odeon is a double tower which has 70 luxury apartments having floor to ceiling windows. The “Sky Penthouse” will be more than 35,000 square feet, occupying the top five floors of the building. Three-time Academy Award-winner Oliver Stone apparently needs more space and has decided to sell the New York apartment that he purchased for $2.2 Million while shooting Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” in 2010.

Oliver Stone, the award-winning movie director, has reportedly put his Manhattan apartment up for sale with a $2.9 million price tag. The residence is also available for rent for $13,000 a month, according to several news reports.

The plush Manhattan apartment was once featured in Architectural Digest, highlighting its interiors inspired by the nautical theme. The current colors of the luxe apartment are red, white and blue, giving it more of a patriotic feel, designed by no less than Geoffrey Bradfield. Fashion is doing its bit for charity as Jay-Z teams up with luxury department store Barneys New York to create a limited quantity of pieces in which a quarter of sales will go towards the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.

Aptly named ‘A New York Holiday’, the collection consists of various items from celebrated luxury brands and designers to represent New York’s culture and lifestyle. The color palette for the opulent merchandise is black, white, silver and gold.

A teaser of the collection has been put up at the  Barneys website and some of the big names that collaborated with Mr. Carter are Balenciaga, Balmain, Lanvin, The Elder Statesman, En Noir, Hoorsenbuhs, Just Don (coming soon!), Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens,Stutterheim, Acne Studios, and Cutler & Gross.

On the Barneys website, Jay-Z shares “With this project, Barneys New York and I were able to take the slickness, energy, and innovation of New York City and translate that into quality, timeless pieces.”

A New York Holiday will be available starting November 20.
