Mukul Resort offers access to wonderful views, golfing and other sports, wonderful cuisine and tours of Nicaragua.

According to forbes.com:

One of Nicaragua’s leading businessmen, Don Carlos Pellas owns, among many the things, the famed Flor de Cana rum distillery. A decade ago while sport fishing off the rocky coastline, Pellas saw a gorgeous place, the 1,670-acre Guacalito de La Isla, and was so captivated by its beauty that he bought it and commenced developing a luxury spa and golf resort, Mukul, now home to the country’s first 18-hole beachfront golf course – by David McLay Kidd of Bandon Dunes fame.

Mukul Resort is a breathtaking mix of rainforest and the beach. It covers about 2 dozen river crossings and 18 green that can be found on the beach. A member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Mukul Resort has 37 villas each with private pools, ocean views and dedicated staff.

As for the food, Chef Cupertino Ortiz has taken over as executive chef early this year. He eagerly mixes traditional Nicaraguan flavors with Mediterranean techniques.
