A first look at the newly opened Andy Warhol Pop Up Cafe
Andy Warhol‘s contribution to the art world is something that cannot be denied. Aside from having some of the most sale-able artworks around, Andy Warhol’s pop art continues to awe people around the world even after 2 decades since his passing. The most recent items that take inspiration from Andy Warhol? Food.

Located atop the massive Roppongi Hills building in Tokyo, Mori Art Museum is necessary visit for art lovers when stepping foot in Japan. Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the famed museum is hosting a special exhibition that displays works by American Pop Artist, Andy Warhol. To complement the exhibition, a pop-up cafe was established inside the museum, taking inspiration from Warhol’s artworks.
The special exhibition called “Andy Warhol: 15 Minutes Eternal,” provides visitors with a comprehensive retrospective of nearly 700 Warhol masterpieces and archives from the beginning of his career up to his last years. According to the Mori Art Museum website “Bringing together examples from every major series Warhol has done, the exhibition is an all-encompassing introduction to the artist’s work. At the same time, with a number of works such as Physiological Diagram, being shown in Japan for the first time, the exhibition will bring new discoveries to even seasoned Warhol aficionados”.
The Andy Warhol Cafe opens today, March 1 and will be serving delights until May 6. Some of the food items include hot dogs, burgers and fruits. The Warhol inspired meals are expected to be both visually appealing and delicious.
